Standard Recovery Kit

The Standard Recovery Kit is the straight kinetic pull, nothing extra: a Kinetic-X kinetic rope in the size you pick, two soft shackles, a rope instruction brochure and a carry bag. It's the kit for a rig that already has a rated recovery point at both ends and a buddy with one too.

The rope is nylon 6.6 with a double-braided jacket and a tight sheath that stretches with the core, so grit stays out and the core stays cool. It stretches over 30% for a smooth, controlled pull. The soft shackles are rated above the rope they carry, so the rope is the weak link, never the connection, with no pins to drop in the mud and no steel to fly if something lets go.

What's in the bag

• Kinetic-X kinetic recovery rope, 3/4", 7/8", 1" or 1.25", 20 or 30 feet
• Two soft shackles (7/16": 41,000 lb with the 3/4, 7/8 and 1 inch ropes; 1/2": 58,000 lb with the 1.25)
• Rope instruction brochure: how to use the rope and shackles, how to inspect them, which size to buy
• Two stickers
• Carry bag

Size the rope to the rig doing the pulling, by its loaded weight. The size guide on this page has the range for each diameter. Want a recovery point on a rig that has none? The Ultimate adds a Hitch Hero and the Off-Road Recovery Cards.

Every rope and shackle is pull-tested to failure by an independent lab in California before we publish a rating, and every rope carries its production date on the tag. Lifetime warranty under proper use, within the published service life.
